These cheese chips are not only low-carb and keto-friendly, but they’re also incredibly versatile. You can enjoy them on their own or pair them with your favorite dips.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cheese: Choose your favorite type-cheddar mozzarella, or even a mix of different cheeses.
  • 2 egg whites: These help bind the cheese and give the chips a perfect crispy texture.

Instructions

Prep

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Grease a mini muffin pan (24 slots) or line a baking sheet with parchment.

Mix

  • In a bowl, mix shredded cheese and egg whites until evenly coated.
  • Add optional seasonings if using.

Portion

  • Spoon small mounds into the mini muffin pan.
  • Press lightly so they bake evenly.

Bake

  • Bake 10 to 15 minutes, until the edges are deep golden and bubbling.

Cool + Crisp

  • Let chips cool in the pan 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack to crisp fully.

Air Fryer Option (Fast + Extra Crisp)

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Spoon small piles onto parchment made for air fryers (or a silicone liner).
  • Air fry 6 to 8 minutes, checking at 6. Cool to crisp.

Notes

Choose Your Cheese: Feel free to experiment with different cheeses or create your own blend. Cheddar gives a rich flavor, while Parmesan adds an extra crunch.
Add Some Flair: Spices and herbs can elevate your cheese chips to a whole new level. Try adding a pinch of smoked paprika, a sprinkle of Italian seasoning, or even a dash of chili flakes for a spicy kick.
Different Shapes: Using a mini muffin tin gives you round chips, but you can also use a macaron mat or just drop the mixture directly onto a lined baking sheet for more free-form shapes.
